The 100 Day Challenge Day 52:
I don’t think I will ever get tired of speaking and writing about the power of gratitude. I want to mention it today as I have had several people cross my path lately who are down and they are stuck in thinking about how things aren’t working and going well in their lives. It is easy for me, because I am outside of their heads and life, to think of countless things that are amazing in each of their lives. They are so stuck in the stress of what is happening that they are almost blind to these things.
If things seem like they are not going well and you don’t see anything good in your life- FORCE yourself to take pen and paper- not computer- and make a list of all of the good things in your life. Just starting to do this instantly changes your focus and your mindset. Thinking about what is good and what you are grateful for pulls more of that to you- just as the opposite does the opposite.
Continuously having a practice of writing down the good things in your life every night before you go to bed can put you in a great place 99% of the time, and when you slip off, you can get back on track quickly. Develop this ongoing practice as a foundation in your life and for your well being. The enjoyment you feel every day of your life will skyrocket.
“You become what you think about most of the time.” Earl Nightingale Meaning what you are spending most of your time thinking about is what shows up in your life- every time, no exceptions.
