Throughout the recent Reinvention Summit I was busy writing down every question I heard asked, as well as the questions that came to my mind, as well. The first thing I did when I got back was to pick through my notes to extract all of the questions I had written. Now I have a list called Reinvention Summit Questions. (Creative, right?!)

There are some amazing questions on the list of 41. I look at the list often to pick questions to answer, to see which ones stand out. The question that catches my eye the most? How do I have a great day?

Sometimes, the simplest is the most impactful. l believe that a great day turns into great days, then weeks, months and years. I love this question because it is so personal. The answer is different for each one of us.

What has to happen before we can have a great day? We must believe in having a great day. While much of what happens in a day is out of our control, or mindsets get to ultimately determine whether or not we had a great day.

What is your definition of a great day? What activities, actions, people, places and things would make up a great day? What would you be doing with your time?

Start by making a list of ALL of the possible things that might make a great day. Start to think about how you can be intentional about have a great day. Have to do something you don’t enjoy? How could you make it great? What could you do before to uplift yourself, how could you make the thing itself better for you. What great activity can you plan for after so that you have something to look forward to- that will energize you?

Make another list- think of a great day you have had at any time in the past? (Do as many as you think of.) What were the components of that day that made it great? Which parts are duplicatable? How could you start to weave these into your days?

This is just a reminder that great days are pretty much within your control. It takes discipline, intention, devotion to consistently create great days. It is a practice. It is work, but it contains so much goodness!

Experiment and figure this out- at this point in your life, what does your great day look life, and how will you make it happen?
