The 100 Day Challenge, Day 56:
Hear are some of the meanings of the word peace from my dictionary:
freedom from anxiety, annoyance or other mental disturbance. a state of tranquility or serenity. silence, stillness.
This Sunday I am inspired to think about peace.
There are many other meanings to the word peace, but the definitions above describe what I have been thinking about today.
It is not always possible to have peace in every moment of our days, but I believe if we set out at the beginning of each day to intentionally bring peace into both our alone moments and those involving others that we will inevitably be experiencing more peace. It is easy to forget when something is going wrong, so when you remember, just get yourself back on track. There is no peacefulness in beating yourself up! Keeping a peace about you when something is going wrong will always help you. It also helps the others around you- really a gift to them and to yourself.
Questions:
When do you feel the most peaceful?
Where can you go to feel peaceful?
What are two things you can count on to bring you peace when things are tough?
Who are the peaceful people in your life, and how often are you spending time with them?
What does peace mean to you?
“When things go wrong, don’t go with them.” Anon.
“If you do not find peace in yourself, you will never find it anywhere else.” Paula A. Bendry
