A mistake I see many people make is wishing they were somewhere other than where they are, missing the present moment- the moments that could get them where they want to go.
As the new year begins, think about starting right where you are. Ask yourself- “how can I be excited about where I am right now?” By appreciating where you are now you honor all of the work you have already done to get where you are now. Write down what you appreciate. This is a great foundation.
And some other ways to get ready to move forward:
–Clean up all of your spaces- your house, your rooms, office, car.
–Clear up your mind by writing down everything is bothering you and what you can do about it.
–Finish unfinished business with people.
Give yourself a fresh slate, with clarity, appreciation for yourself and what you have created not only in the past year, what in your life leading up to today.
Look at others for inspiration, but don’t short change your own good life thinking others have what you want, work on getting what you want. Take action and feel good about yourself and don’t try to do everything at once.
The best question for the whole of next year is “what is the next right action for me to take?” And keep taking it.
