I love going through the Happiness in Areas of Life intake form with my clients. It is such a great way for both myself and my client to gain clarity about their whole life. I hope you have enjoyed working through all of the areas these the past 8 weeks- next week we will bring it all together in a meaningful way.

This week, our focus is the family area of life. My favorite part of the intake form are the questions about setting goals with those closest to you. Family goals. If you have a partner, you can set goals together and if you have children, you can involve them at all levels and you get to marvel at how the goals and process evolves over time.

You can do this also with your family of origin or family of choice. (Being clear that family comes in all shapes and forms).

Creating a family mission and vision can be powerful, as well. This can be a part of the goal setting- what are we all about? What is important to us? And then the vision is how you will carry those things out throughout the year, doing a monthly check in to stay on track.

Now, at the halfway point of the year- set a couple of goals with those closest to you for between now and the end of the year. Things you want to accomplish or do together. Things you want to experience together. Have a mini retreat to put out and consider all ideas so that you can decide. (And include great snacks!)

How do you feel you are doing in the family area of your life (in all ways) on a scale from 1-10?

If not a 10, what would have to be happening in order for you to say it is a 10?

What is the first step to move toward the 10?

Enjoy this process and see if you can bring even more life into the family systems of your life!
