Welcome to Day 30!
“Love is the highest frequency you can vibrate in and the highest state of consciousness. In the pure frequency of love there is gratitude, creation, happiness and oneness. Love is all, all is you.”
I found that quote on the internet, it is not attributed to anyone. I wanted to share it with you because I can not end this 31 day challenge without including love, the highest vibration of them all.
In my work with the VIA character strengths love comes up a lot- because it is a strength. It is always fun for me when it comes up in a business setting, because love is not something that is traditionally talked about in a corporate setting- hopefully that is changing! Love does come up, though, because as love has a connection to leadership- caring at the highest level and instilling the highest level of trust.
Love is something we can give and receive and both sides of the circle are equally important. I find that people who are the best at giving love are usually not the best at receiving it. So it is something to pay attention to and to make sure you are balanced and working toward balance.
Let others show you love and check what you are calling love toward others. I see many people trying to control others in the name of love. I have done it so I see you!
The best place to start with love is to allow yourself to show yourself love. It is the foundation- without which true love with others is not entirely possible.
With self love you can start with things like speaking your mind (kindly), being honest and authentic about what you want and don’t want, doing things that are good, fun and healthy for yourself. Treating yourself with kindness, gentleness and compassion.
And acceptance. More on that tomorrow.
Day 30 Coaching Journal Questions:
-What does love mean to you?
-Who do you love? Make a list.
-How do you show them love? How could you show them love?
-How do you show yourself love on a consistent basis? How could you do it that you aren’t currently?
Day 30 Challenge:
-Over the next two days do one loving act specifically for you and one for someone else.
-Be willing to notice when you are doing things that you are calling love, but are actually something else and write down what you notice. Not to judge or beat up on yourself but to raise your awareness as a first step to change.
