This post is a little bit of a review, if you’ve been following along with me for a while. I notice I circle back to common themes over and over again throughout the years.

I want to share with you some of the things I am thinking about right now as I consider how I want to use and enjoy these last few days of September and how I want to do the same with the fourth quarter of this year. See what you might find useful as you create your own plans for these next few months!

  1. I am thinking about getting back to basics. Cleaning up my schedule, making a list of things I want and that need to be in it. Return to the things that work. Discerning. Which brings me to the next….
  2. I am thinking about focusing on what is most important right now. Some things CAN be set aside for the time being. Not everything is important. Maybe it used to be or will be in the future, but not right now. Discerning. What is worthy of inclusion in my schedule. Is it a season of saying yes, or no or not right now?
  3. I am thinking about what is actually true. I have a lot of stories, you do, too. Some of them were true once. What am I making up these days that is holding me back? What is truer than what I am thinking? Stop making things up. If you have proof, there you go. If you don’t have proof, be willing to find out the truth instead of making up what you assume to be true. Tell yourself the truth. Discern.
  4. Where could my mindset use an up level? Maybe all three of the previous points! How can I be even more positive, more can-do? Where can cultivate more mental toughness, take less offense, rise above some things and conserve my energy for- what’s most important!

Review my comments and ask yourself what do these points mean to me? You being you will have a very different way of viewing these things in your own life. Take some time with paper and pen to write your thoughts. From there ask yourself these: What will I do know with these thoughts as I move forward? How will I apply what I am now realizing? Write it all down and formulate your simple plan. Make the most of what lies ahead, one day at a time, beginning now.
